August AED Feature - Zoll AED Plus

Each month Heart Safe Community will be posting product information for a different AED. The information provided is based on the most common questions asked by Coordinators to the PAD Team.

The Basics

Electrodes:

  • Adult Pads are stamped with an expiry date usually good for 5 years from purchase
  • Child Pads are stamped with an expiry date and usually good for 2+years from purchase
  • Has a unique one piece design with a CPR puck in the center.

Battery:

  • Good for five years from the date they are installed into the AED
  • Takes a sleeve of ten batteries. The date stamped on each Zoll battery it’s shelf life date. This means as long as you install the battery into the AED by the date stamped on the back of it, it should last a full five years on standby.
